Assalamualaikum wr.wb
The honourable the adjudicator team, teachers, friends, and all of audiences.
Firstly, let’s praise to Allah the Creator and Sustainer of the world. And also may shalawat and salam always delivered to our grand prophet Muhammad SAW.
Secondly, I also want to thank the organizing committee who has given me chance to stand here and deliver my speech. And in this occasion, I’ll deliver a speech on the title “How to prevent juvenile crime and delinquency”
Well ladies and gentlemen,
As we all know, youth are hope of our beloved country, and we should realize that we as youth hold the biggest role to continue the struggle to make our country become better country. But, what we see and read everyday show the opposite. Crime and deviation done by teenagers everyday. And what will happen if this happen continuously? It’ll put our country in danger.
Okay ladies and gentlemen now I want to speak about juvenile crime and delinquency. juvenile delinquency which I mean here is the mischief that has reached the severe stage for the substance of his age. mischiefs that committed no longer a cheat, accessing pornographic sites, or a fight between students. but has reached theft, rape, drug dealers, even murder. should we let this continue? of course not. actions taken by the authorities are already significant. but still, juvenile delinquency, or who can we call the criminal teenagers still occur even increased. punish them and put them in jail? It also has been done. but, that does not discourage them even more rampant is because most of the teenagers who make these criminal acts instead placed in adult cells. and that's where they learn to become more expert in criminal conduct.
so, the solution I want to emphasize here is, first, to the parents, please if you have children who grow up, give an understanding of the world they will face, Provide them with the values and social norms. keep an eye on them without restraint of their freedom to grow and express themselves within reasonable limits. the second is the social environment in which they must be an environment that teaches them life experience. and the last is the government issued policies must be balanced. I mean here is when the juvenile crime occurs, the prize for the perpetrators which is actually a teenager not only confinement but also, rehabilitation.

OK ladies and gentlemen. We often hear the word nationalism, but do we understand the meaning contained in it? I have looked on the internet about nationalism and what I get is that nationalism is idealism that creating and maintaining the sovereignty of a nation and to realize a concept of shared identity for a group of people .... Then again elaborated more clearly,

Ties of nationalism growing in the community when their thought pattern began to decline. This bonding occurs when humans began living together in a certain area and not move from there. At that time, the instinct to defend themselves very important role and encourage them to defend the country, where he lived and hung himself. Home is where the growth of this bond, that which was weak and has low quality. However, if the atmosphere is safe from enemy attack and the enemy was driven out of the country, this nationalism power will sink and hide and the deepest part of our heart. About right or whether the explanation was, it is depend to perception of each of us here. But interesting to me is the last sentence: "... when the atmosphere is safe from enemy attack and the enemy was driven out of the country, this nationalism power will sink and hide and the deepest part of our heart.

this is very interesting if connected with our present state of the nation. Era when we are finally able to enjoy independence decades ago. Era when we are free to do things and express our opinion and our thoughts. Maybe this time that kind of feeling has gradually faded from the soul of the people of this nation.
Then, what can we do to bring our nationalism up ? that’s easy ladies and gentlemen.
So personally I think that nationalism can be achieved by maintaining the independence and sovereignty of the country that had been fought by the heroes and warriors. How? Is flying the flag and commemorate the heroes is enough? No! We must try to force the soul of nationalism would never faded. We are a rich country. But if we fail to look after, someone else will be tempted to seize it. For example If we confess our batik as an asset, the easiest way is wear batik with pride as our clothing. If we say the dances are a valuable asset, teach dance in schools, or for parents register your child local dance lessons.
